The largest two-wheeler manufacturer of the country sold 3, 72, 285 units last month. Despite this, the company announced a 35.47 percent decrease in March 2021 sales, which totaled 5, 76, 957 units. In April 2021, Hero MotoCorp sold 3, 39, 329 bikes and 32, 956 scooters out of a total of 3, 72, 285 units. Furthermore, 3, 42, 614 units were sold in the domestic market, with 29, 671 units exported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of the other maker, Royal Enfield sold 53, 298\nmotorcycles last month. Again, on a month-over-month basis, the company saw a\n19 percent drop in their monthly revenue, with the brand selling 66, 058\nmotorcycles in the previous month. The deadline is March 2021. Though, it is a\nfact that 48, 789 bikes were sold in the domestic market, the remaining 4, 509\nbikes were sold in the international market. The company\u2019s exports increased significantly\nby 4, 855 percent on a year-by-year basis in April 2020, when it only exported\n91 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s worth noting that the year-over-year sales data for\ndomestic and overall sales is not comparable because both the companies namely Royal\nEnfield and Hero MotoCorp announced literally zero sales in April 2020. And the\nexplanation for this is that, exactly a year ago, the entire nation was in a\nstate of complete lockdown, and manufacturers were unable to sell a single unit.\nWith the current situation in place, more manufacturers will be reporting their\nsales figures soon, and we expect a similar trend in numbers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
